Why it lasts

Polyurea & polyaspartic vs epoxy

Epoxy is basically a thick paint. It dries as a layer sitting on the surface, so hot tires, moisture and time eventually lift it. Our polyurea base soaks into the open pores of the ground concrete and cures into a chemical bond, then a clear polyaspartic top coat locks in the flake. The coating becomes part of the slab.

What we install

Polyurea + polyaspartic

Bonds into the pores, sealed under a clear top coat

CLEAR POLYASPARTIC TOP POLYUREA BASE + FLAKE CONCRETE SLAB
  • +Cures into the slab, so it will not peel or chip off
  • +Shrugs off hot tire pickup, oil, salt and chemicals
  • +UV stable clear coat, the color holds and will not yellow
  • +Cures fast even in cold Colorado garages, drive on it next day
The common shortcut

Standard epoxy

Sits on top like paint

EPOXY LAYER PEELS CONCRETE SLAB
  • Bonds only to the surface, lifts under hot tires
  • Yellows and fades in sunlight over time
  • Brittle, cracks and chips at the edges
  • Slow multi day cure before you can park
How we do it

The six step system

The bond is only as good as the prep. We do not cut corners on the grind, because that is what opens the concrete so the coating can lock in.

Garage cleared and cleaned before coating
01 / CLEAN

Clean & clear

We clear the space and clean the slab down to bare concrete, pulling up oil, dust and any old failing coating.

02 / GRIND

Diamond grind

We diamond grind the entire floor to open the pores and create the profile the coating needs to bond.

Repairing and filling cracks in the concrete
03 / REPAIR

Repair cracks

Cracks, pits and spalls get filled and ground flush so the finished floor is smooth, sound and seamless.

Rolling on the polyurea base coat
04 / BASE

Polyurea base coat

We roll on the polyurea base, which penetrates the open concrete and forms the chemical bond to the slab.

Broadcasting decorative flake into the wet base coat
05 / FLAKE

Broadcast flake

We broadcast decorative flake into the wet base to full refusal, then scrape it back to an even, consistent texture.

Sealing the floor with a clear polyaspartic top coat
06 / TOP

Polyaspartic top coat

A clear polyaspartic top coat seals everything in for a tough, glossy, easy to clean finish you park on the next day.

What customers say

Built on referrals

★★★★★

Our garage went from a stained mess to the nicest room in the house. The crew showed up on time, finished in a day, and a year later it still looks brand new.

Mike R., Denver, CO
★★★★★

We have a mountain home and needed a floor that could take snow, salt and freeze. MB walked us through the options and the polyaspartic floor has held up perfectly through a full winter.

Sarah K., Avon, CO
★★★★★

Had my basement and garage done at the same time. Clean work, fair price, and zero peeling or hot tire marks. I have already referred two neighbors.

Good questions

Frequently asked

What is the difference between epoxy and polyaspartic?
Epoxy is a thick paint that dries on top of the concrete, so it can peel, yellow and lift under hot tires. We use a polyurea base that bonds into the concrete and a clear polyaspartic top coat that is UV stable and far more durable. It also cures faster and handles cold much better, which matters in Colorado.
How long does it take and when can I use it?
Most one to three car garages are done in a single day. You can walk on it the next day and park on it within about 24 to 72 hours depending on temperature. We give you a clear timeline up front.
Can you install in winter or in a cold garage?
Yes. Polyurea and polyaspartic cure in cold temperatures, well below freezing, which is why they suit Colorado garages and mountain homes. We confirm conditions before every install.
Is it safe for kids and pets?
Once cured the floor is a sealed, non porous surface that is easy to clean and resistant to spills and stains. We can add a non slip additive to the top coat for extra traction.
How do I clean and maintain it?
Simple. Sweep or dust mop, and clean spills with soap and water or a light degreaser. No waxing or resealing needed.
What does it cost?
Price depends on square footage, the condition of your slab and the finish you choose. Every quote is free and includes full prep, grinding, crack repair, base coat, flake and top coat. Request a free on site estimate and we will give you an exact number.
Can I pick the color?
Yes. We carry a range of in stock flake blends from subtle neutrals to bolder looks, and we can special order almost any color. We will show you options during the estimate.
